Game Time Recess And Lunch

Game-time Recess and Lunch

Structured Games, Games, and more Games! UFIT has addressed the concerns of yard conflicts that result in referrals, suspensions and expulsions by providing structured sports and activities that keep students engaged.

UFIT’s Game-time Recess and Lunch Program provides a high-quality recess experience designed with attention to students’ physical and emotional safety, inclusion, and fun.

Our game selection consists of inclusive non-traditional activities, specifically ones that do not have existing stereotypes for participation, and can provide a greater chance to create opportunities where all children will feel welcomed, safe, respected, and engaged. Encouraging positive play and physical activity.

Students from Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 5 are given the opportunity to improve and foster positive relationships on the playground. A variety of activities are provided inclusive of all students, their skill levels or abilities, and well adapted to meet each school’s needs.

Coaches interact with assigned student groups; modeling positivity, running games as needed, ensuring no one is excluded and behavioral expectations are met.
